Ublues to perform in the same bill as music legend James Brown at a prestigious Australian music festival, where they are the first Asian band invited in its 15 year history.


March 15, 2004, Singapore: Singapore’s own Ublues Band will be performing at this year's East Coast Blues Festival (Byron Bay, Australia) held on the 8 to12 April. This is the largest blues and roots music festival in the Southern Hemisphere and one of the most prestigious in the world, with high billing international acts headlining each year. This will be the festival's 15th year running over 5 days and attract well over 50,000 people. Ublues will be playing on the main festival stage, the Mojo Stage, which is the biggest stage with expected audience numbers of 8,000 to 10,000. They share this stage with this year’s top acts including funk legend and "Godfather of Soul" James Brown, grammy winners and nominees such as Solomon Burke, Taj Mahal, Mavis Staple, Jackson Brown and Bob Geldof, as well as other notable artists such as Robben Ford and Dr John on the other stages.
